The Government has pledged to support private tertiary institutions, education minister Jessica Alupo has said. Alupo said the private sector had played a big role in grooming professionals.
She made the remarks on Friday during the 8th graduation ceremony of United Media Consultants and Training Institute at Fairway Hotel in Kampala.
Over 390 students graduated in Journalism and Business studies.
"The world today needs professionalism and I am happy we are getting more professionals in journalism and the business field. I urge you to exercise professionalism in whatever you do," she told the graduands.
Alupo said the Government was ready to protect journalists as long as they do their work professionally. She urged the the graduands to use their skills to build the nation rather than breaking it.
